NBA Star Tyrese Haliburton Debuts Custom BAYC Kobes In Game

Tyrese Haliburton is a proud owner of a Bored Ape Yacht Club.

This week versus the New Orleans Pelicans, the Sacramento Kings guard debuted a pair of custom Kobes featuring his BAYC #8409.

The cotton candy sneakers were painted by Andrew Lewis, a Las Vegas based artist, and the collaboration made for the first time an NFT project was featured on an NBA player's sneaker during a game.

It probably wont be the last, with Lewis calling out Pelicans guard Josh Hart – who also owns a BAYC.

Haliburton and Hart are among a growing number of professional athletes in buying and selling NFTs, including NBA superstars like Steph Curry and Ben Simmons.
