Twitter, Discord To Support Solana NFT Embeds With Audius

Twitter and Discord will support the embedding of Solana NFT galleries through Audius, a California-based Web 3.0 music streaming dApp.

The new function, designed to allow artists and fans to embed NFTs on blogs and social media platforms, aims to help musicians engage with fans while building their following and creating new revenue streams.

The integration uses Phantom's Solana-based crypto wallet, as Audius continues its push to be the leading music platform of Web 3.0.

"NFT holders can embed their collectibles from the two biggest blockchains on Twitter timelines, personal blogs, and websites," the company said. "Thanks to this new feature, will further push collectibles into the mainstream."

Audius announced a $5.5 million Series A round of funding in recent months, with investments from artists like Nas, Katy Perry, The Chainsmokers, Jason Derulo, Pusha T, Steve Aoki and more.

The blockchain-based platform was the first streaming service to parter with TikTok, and if that was Audius' first natural social media collaboration, Twitter and Discord were seemingly inevitable progressions.

Jack Dorsey, founder and CEO of both Twitter and Square, has been bullish on crypto and blockchain for some time. Twitter recently formed a new team dedicated to exploring how decentralized technologies can be utilized by the social network.
